OUR PROCESS

initial meeting

We’ll start with a meeting—either in person, over email, or by phone—to chat about your vision and stationery dreams. From there, we’ll finalize the details and get started with a signed contract and retainer.

design

I’ll create initial concepts or proofs based on your vision. You’ll provide feedback, and together we’ll refine the design until it’s perfect. Unlimited revisions are included for all custom design clients.

final approval

Once you’re thrilled with the design, you’ll review and approve the final proofs. This is your chance to double-check everything—names, dates, and details—before we head to print.

production & delivery

Your stationery is brought to life! Production timelines range from 1 to 8 weeks, depending on printing methods and project complexity. We also offer white-glove assembly and mailing services, plus wedding day-of goods for a seamless, cohesive look.

YOUR WEDDING

If we are designing wedding day stationery and signage, Songbird will either deliver the morning of your wedding if you are local, or we'll arrange for a pick-up at our home studio.
You'll also receive your keepsake suite prior to your wedding for your photographer and you.

welcome box with sample kit

After booking, you’ll receive a welcome box in the mail. Inside is a sample kit featuring some of our luxe papers, envelope colors, ribbon samples, wax seal colors, and all the print methods we offer.

design & proofing

All of our custom invitation suites include unlimited revisions so we can ensure that your stationery is perfect! You will receive digital proofs all along the way in your inbox.

5 piece
invitation suite

Your invitation suite will include 5 pieces – the invitation card, reply card, reply envelope, a details card and an outer envelope. These pieces can be modified to fit your needs, so think map card, rehearsal dinner card, or another specialty card!

keepsake suite

Each custom design couple will receive a keepsake invitation suite housed in a foil-pressed linen box so you may cherish it for years to come.

assembly, postage,
& mailing

Our white glove service includes assembly, postage, and mailing services because YOU deserve to enjoy your engagement without that stress!

printed envelope addressing

Our base package includes perfectly matching digitally printed addressing to save you hours from writing them by hand yourself.

Frequently asked questions

do you have a minimum fee?

To fully commit to our level of luxury, our custom wedding invitation suite minimum fee is $2,000. Many of our couples choose to elevate their experience, investing an average of $3,500 to create stationery that captures every romantic detail of their love story.

can we use your artwork ourselves?

Yes and no. We believe in the whole package and will use our art for your day-of stationery & signage. If you choose to design your day-of stationery yourselves, we can license our artwork to you for a fee.

can we do just day-of items?

Yes! We will try to match as best to our ability your invitation suite, but please know that we cannot directly copy the design. We will strive to create a cohesive look for your day-of stationery and signage.
